
The 2020 Greater Victoria Regional Arts Awards reception took place on Saturday, October 3, 5-6pm as an online event.

The awards program was live-streamed on-location from a variety of arts facilities across the Greater Victoria region with each site presenting one of the award categories, the award sponsors, and this year’s recipients.
The Greater Victoria Regional Arts Awards has expanded this year to include some new award sponsors that honour local artists and organizations creating work in the region over the last year.
Awards presented:
- Parc Retirement Living Mid-Career Artist Award recognizes contributions made by a local mid-career artist.
Includes a $2,000 prize.
* Presented to Krystal Cook - CRD Arts Commission Regional Impact Award recognizes outstanding impact by a local festival/event/organization.
Includes a $5,000 prize.
* Presented to Theatre SKAM and the SKAMPEDE Festival - City of Victoria Creative Builder Award recognizes an individual working behind the scenes who has worked to build the community. Includes a $3,000 prize.
* Presented to Charles Campbell - JAYMAC Outstanding Production Award, awarded to a locally produced performing arts production. Sponsored by the JAYMAC Fund through the Victoria Foundation. Includes a $15,000 prize.
* Presented to Fado. The Saddest Music in the World by Puente Theatre - Witness Legacy Award for Social Purpose and Responsibility through Art recognizes artists who use their artistic practice for positive social or environmental change. Includes a $500 prize.
* Presented to Rage Sweater Theatre Productions - ProArt Early-Career Artist Award recognizes the potential of an early-career artist. Includes a $500 prize.
* Presented to Jana Morrison - Critics Choice Awards, five awards recognizing the outstanding work being produced in theatre.
